Social media influencer Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, has been booked along with seven others for allegedly consuming alcohol in Katra, near the Vaishno Devi shrine. The Jammu and Kashmir Police have filed an FIR against them for violating the District Magistrate’s orders and disrespecting religious sentiments.
FIR Filed Against Orry and Group
According to reports, the police registered an FIR (No. 72/25) at Katra Police Station against eight individuals, including Orry, Darshan Singh, Parth Raina, Ritick Singh, Rashi Dutta, Rakshita Bhogal, Shagun Kohli, and Russian national Anastasila Arzamaskina. They have been charged under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
The group was reportedly staying in a hotel in Katra’s Cottage Suite area, where they allegedly consumed alcohol. This region enforces strict prohibitions against alcohol and non-vegetarian food due to its close proximity to the Vaishno Devi shrine, a sacred Hindu pilgrimage site visited by millions annually.

J&K Police Assure Strict Action
Following the incident, a special investigation team has been formed under the supervision of the SP Katra, Dy SP Katra, and SHO Katra. Notices will be sent to all the accused, including Orry, summoning them for questioning.
A senior police official stated, “The authorities are taking this matter seriously as it involves religious sentiments. Strict action will be taken against those found guilty.”
Vaishno Devi Shrine’s Strict Rules
