Yuzvendra Chahal : Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife, Dhanashree Verma, are now officially divorced. Months of speculation and cryptic social media posts have come to an end, as reports confirm that the Bandra Family Court granted their separation on Thursday.
According to ABP News, the court advised the couple to undergo a 45-minute counseling session before finalizing the decision. Despite the session, both Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree remained firm on their decision, citing “compatibility issues” as the reason for their split. The couple had reportedly been living apart for the past 18 months.
The final hearing took place in person, with both parties present. At around 4:30 PM on Thursday, the judge officially granted their divorce.
In the hours leading up to the court proceedings, Chahal shared an emotional message on social media, expressing gratitude towards God for his protection. His Instagram story read, “God has protected me more times than I can count. So I can only imagine the times I’ve been rescued that I don’t even know about.”
Dhanashree also shared a cryptic post on her Instagram, talking about faith and surrendering worries to God. “From stressed to blessed. Isn’t it amazing how God can turn our worries and trials into blessings?” she wrote.
Although neither directly mentioned their divorce in their posts, the messages hinted at their emotional state during this period. Their separation has been a topic of discussion among fans for months, especially after their noticeable absence from each other’s social media posts.
Chahal, one of India’s top leg-spinners, continues to focus on his cricketing career, while Dhanashree remains active as a choreographer and social media influencer.
