Delta Airlines Plane Crashes : A Delta Air Lines flight with 80 people onboard crash-landed at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Monday, flipping upside down upon landing. The incident left 18 people injured, including three in critical condition, but no fatalities were reported.
The flight, operated by Delta’s subsidiary Endeavor Air, had departed from Minneapolis and was landing in Toronto when the crash occurred. Emergency teams responded swiftly, evacuating passengers and treating the injured.
Among those critically injured were a child, a man in his 60s, and a woman in her 40s. Two individuals were airlifted to trauma centers, while the child was taken to a children’s hospital. The remaining injured passengers were transported to nearby hospitals.
Dramatic footage from the scene showed the CRJ-900 aircraft flipped over on the runway, with smoke rising from the fuselage. Passengers could be seen evacuating, some stumbling away from the wreckage amid strong winds. Fire crews doused the aircraft as emergency personnel ensured everyone was safely removed.

Toronto Pearson Airport confirmed the incident in a statement on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “We are aware of an incident involving a Delta Air Lines plane arriving from Minneapolis. Emergency teams are responding.” The airport temporarily suspended all flights, causing delays but later resumed operations.
Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the crash. The airport’s fire chief, Todd Aitken, ruled out adverse weather conditions, noting that the runway was dry with no crosswind at the time of landing. Canada’s Transportation Safety Board and the US Federal Aviation Administration have launched investigations into the incident.
This accident adds to recent aviation concerns in North America, following multiple crashes, including a mid-air collision in Washington and a medical transport plane crash in Philadelphia.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford expressed relief that there were no casualties, while Federal Transport Minister Anita Anand stated she was closely monitoring the situation.
As investigations continue, Delta Airlines has assured that it is working with authorities and reaching out to affected passengers to provide assistance.
